Learn to craft your own sterling silver necklace from scratch at The Bookshop on the Square in Otley, where you'll master everything from torch-melting to hand-stamping in a welcoming, step-by-step workshop.

Whether you're a complete beginner or you've worked with metal before, this class is designed so everyone moves through together at a pace that works.

You'll develop skills over 2.5 to 3 hours: using a blowtorch to melt sterling silver into an organic pebble, hammering it flat, and precision-stamping an initial or design into the surface. I will be right there alongside you, showing you exactly how to hold and handle each tool so you always know what you're doing.

All your safety equipment, aprons, silver, and necklace chains are provided.

By the end of the class, you'll have made something genuinely special, a personalized sterling silver pendant that's entirely yours, crafted with techniques you'll be able to use again and again.

Necklaces will be created to your desired length (up to 20").
