The ‘Aether’ Necklace features a Lightning Ridge Opal, set in a sleek 9ct yellow gold bezel. This opal displays an ethereal palette of luminous blues, deep ocean tones, turquoise, and flickers of green.
Handmade in my home workshop, this pendant was crafted using traditional gold-smithing techniques. The bezel setting adds a modern, minimal touch while keeping the opal securely framed.
Fully finished, stamped, and ready to ship. The necklace comes on a fine, 0.8mm, 18", 9ct gold chain. If you'd prefer a different length, width, or style, additional chain options are available at extra cost.
Please note: Opals can appear differently in various lighting conditions due to their natural play of colour.
All Jewellery is shipped with Royal Mail Special Delivery at no extra charge. If other chain options are selected, your item will take an additional two days to reach you.
Care
To keep your jewellery looking its best, store it in a dry place away from direct sunlight and chemicals. Avoid applying perfume, hairspray, or other sprays near your jewellery, as these can cause metal to tarnish and dull the stone’s natural beauty.
Both sterling silver and gold can develop a natural patina over time. To restore their shine, gently polish with a soft cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners, especially on pieces with opals.
The opals I use — primarily Australian opals — are more durable than other types, but they still require gentle care. Do not expose them to prolonged moisture or immerse them in hot water, as extreme temperature changes can damage the stone. Always remove your jewellery before bathing, swimming, or cleaning.
With a little mindfulness, your piece will remain beautiful for years to come.
Handmade
Each piece is individually handcrafted in my home workshop using traditional techniques and careful attention to detail. From the shaping of metal to the setting of each stone, no two pieces are ever exactly the same — each one is made to celebrate the unique character of the materials and carry a sense of individuality.
I work with responsibly sourced metals and natural opals, allowing their organic textures, colours, and forms to guide the design. Every element, from molten textures to smooth bezels, is crafted with intention and finished by hand to ensure lasting quality.
These pieces are not mass-produced — they are small-batch, thoughtfully made, and built to be worn, loved, and passed on.
